Elizabeth Edwards on The Daily Show : Finally Talks About Health Care

Finally, Elizabeth Edwards talks about health care and Politics while promoting Resilience. Though Stewart never brought up the affair, he did manage to begin to ask Edwards some of the sorts of questions Oprah Winfrey should have asked when Edwards appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show earlier this month:

I don’t know how much I buy Edwards’ statement that the press leeched onto the most salacious parts of her memoir and that is why she was relentlessly asked about the Rielle Hunter affair up until now. After all, Edwards referred to herself as a Politician on Oprah so she should know how to try and steer an interview towards the issues she would like to cover refusing to give little insight to questions regarding the affair. If Elizabeth Edwards truly did not want to make the book’s promotion about the affair, she could have set the tone with the Oprah interview by working to limit the amount of time devoted to the affair and concentrate more on larger issues that concern her.
