By taking to the streets and joining the anti-government movement of the Iranian masses, the Mullahs are not only standing in defiance of their traditional role in Iranian society, but are also showing Muslims around the world that, even the most pious of Muslims can stand up against a corrupt regime despite the title of “Islamic Republic:”

“In the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mullahs [are] loyal only to God and Iran‘s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.”

“Protest in a civil manner is the definite right of the people and all must respect that.”
