Rachel Maddow on Real Reason for Sarah Palin’s Resignation : ‘A Proven Inability to Govern’

Among all of the speculation about Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s resignation from the Governorship, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, sums up the catalyst for Palin’s decisions pretty simply – she sucked at her job and wasted far too much time picking ridiculous battles instead of fighting for the advancement of the state of Alaska:

It actually has been the ethical question marks in her life and the basic problems in handling elected office appropriately that seemed to have brought her career as a public official to an end.”

“Bottom line, she resigned because her Governorship in Alaska had turned into a disaster. Leaving office was not a shrewd move by somebody picking a better political option from among a range of political choices available to her. It was a jump off the political cliff to avoid being pushed off that cliff.”

That lack of self control and of boundaries between the personal, and the political, and the petty is the flaw that had drawn her into earlier ethics scandals.”
