Michael Jackson OFFICIALLY Has Best-Selling Album of 2009
Though Michael Jackson’s previously ignored hits collection Number Ones is finally showing signs of a sales decline it has officially sold enough copies to become the best selling album of 2009 so far:
“Number Ones” (Epic), the 2003 collection that has dominated sales since Mr. Jackson’s death two months ago, has surpassed Taylor Swift’s “Fearless” (Big Machine) as the best-selling album of 2009. Last week “Number Ones” racked up another 68,000 sales, bringing its total for the year to 1,619,000; “Fearless” has sold 1,608,000 copies in the same period.
