Video : Glenn Beck Thinks Obama is Creating Freeloader Nation
First off, I have always hated the term ‘Progressive,’ so Beck can make of it whatever he wants.
However, there is no denying that this rant is ridiculous and meritless. Taking a few soundbites from people and making them out to seem like confused freeloaders doesn’t an argument make.
When one woman said that she won’t have to worry about her rent or gas, I don’t think she was implying that because Barack Hussein Obama is President of the United States of America that those will magically be paid by the US Government, rather that Obama will work hard for the Middle Class and try to reverse the damage of the Bush Administration. Using that soundbite and editorializing it to make the woman sound indicative of some massive freeloader movement in America is not only irresponsible it is downright despicable.
As for the Samuel Adams quote, I would ask Beck what he would think if Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had referred to that specific Samuel Adams quote?
“The religion and public liberty of a people are intimately connected; their interest are interwoven, they cannot subsist separately; and therefore they rise and fall together. For this reason, it is always observable, that those who are combined to destroy the people‘s liberties practice every art to poison their morals. How greatly then does it concern us, at all events, to put a stop to the progress of tyranny.”
