The most powerful part of this video are the thoughtful statements presented by a diverse group of men detained for years at Guantanamo Bay.
They describe their feelings about the deplorable situation but in the end they all maintain that they do not have ill-will against the people of America, but want the American people to know what is being done to others by the representative government of the United States of America:
“I was held for a total of three years. Three years without charge, without trial, without any explanation and I was released without charge, without trial and without any explanation“
“You will not leave a similar person anymore. You will leave as broken – physically broken, psychologically broken wretches“
“Solitary confinement in Guantanamo is a place where people lose their minds“
“It‘s like asking a woman whose just been raped if her life will ever go back to normality?”
