Manifest امید : What Washingtonians Know About Afghanistan
At a screening of the documentary Manifest Hope in Capitol Hill I decided to take the opportunity to ask attendees of a film about political art what they knew about Afghanistan.
The questions raised to each of the 30-somethings in attendance were simple, and though their answers do not provide any clear solutions to the situation in Afghanistan, they do express important viewpoints. More importantly though, the opinions expressed in the interviews should lead to more questions about how opinions of the situation in Afghanistan are made if the majority of the population indeed have the same knowledge of an ancient land as the respondents at the screening of a documentary about political art in Washington, D.C.:
