Florence + The Machine Land in iTunes Top 5 Singles

A day after staging one of the two best performances at last night’s 2010 Video Music Awards and being nominated for 4 moonmen (including Video of the Year), Florence + The Machine went from Indie darling underdogs to having a Top 5 single on iTunes as their single Dog Days Are Over skyrocketed to #4 on the iTunes Top Songs chart:

Other notable post-VMA ascensions include fellow performers 30 Seconds to Mars, whose Kings and Queens sits at #17 (after taking home the moonman for Best Rock Video) and Linkin Park whose single The Catalyst is at #23. Linkin Park’s fourth studio album A Thousand Suns drops tomorrow.

Closing out the Top 25 singles are Paramore, whose The Only Exception is currently at the #24 spot and Hayley Williams’ duet andstage partner B.o.B. whose Airplanes is one spot below Paramore at #25.

Also of note is the fact that the Florence + The Machine single is the only one with a 99 cent price tag.
